We are excited to once again be offering a School Band program at your school in 2022. This is an excellent opportunity for students to get started on learning an instrument in a fun and engaging way alongside their peers. Students will also become part of their school band, giving them the opportunity to perform throughout the school year at assemblies and other important events.
The School Band Program consists of weekly before school or lunch time rehearsals as well as weekly small group lessons which are held at school during school hours with our qualified, specialist teachers. Students can pick from a range of instruments that we have available and most of these can be hired through the Conservatorium or through some schools (where available).
We would love the opportunity to help get your child involved with the music program at your school and will be holding information nights via zoom on the following dates:
We will also conduct a Face-to-Face meeting on Saturday 27th Nov at 4pm at the Gosford Presbyterian Church, 14 Young Street, West Gosford. Please remember to bring your COVID vaccination or exemption certificate to enter the venue. However, we will also have some tables located outside of the venue to allow those who are not vaccinated to participate.
At all of these information sessions, the full program will be explained and you’ll have the opportunity to ask questions and meet some of our coordinators and teachers.
In the meantime, please visit our schools program pagefor more information or feel free to contact the Conservatorium office on (02) 4324 7477.
The Central Coast Conservatorium acknowledges that we operate on the lands of the Darkinyung people. We pay our respect to this land and its people. We acknowledge those ancestors that defended, walked on and managed these lands for many generations and who have left a legacy of strong cultural wisdom and knowledge embedded in these lands today. We acknowledge and recognise all Aboriginal people who have come from other First Nations groups and who have now come to call this country their home. We acknowledge the Elders past, present and emerging who are the knowledge holders, teachers and pioneers.
