Sautéing mushrooms is something that can easily be done in a frying pan on the stove, but this is a Thermomix blog, so of course, I had to give it a go.  This recipe is the result.

Serves 2

Mushrooms on Toast | ThermomixIngredients

1 shallot, peeled and halved

1 clove garlic

20g olive oil

8 mushrooms, sliced into 1cm pieces

Salt and pepper, to season

2 slices multi-grain bread

Extra virgin olive oil, to serve


1. Put shallot and garlic into the Thermomix bowl and chop with the measuring cup (MC) on for 3 seconds/Speed 5

2. Scrape down the sides of the bowl, put oil into the Thermomix and sauté with the MC off for 2 minutes/Varoma/Speed 1

3. Put mushrooms, salt and pepper into the Thermomix bowl and sauté with the MC off for 5 minutes/Varoma/Reverse/Speed soft

4. Toast bread, top with cooked mushrooms and drizzle with extra virgin olive oil
